The Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA), on behalf of a coalition of its member publishers, has asked the High Court in London, England to hold Andrew Amue, the founder of the www.evanglibrary.info and www.evanglibrary.com websites, in contempt of court. He had repeatedly refused to comply with a 2008 Court Order requiring him to cease display of over 130 copyright Christian books on his sites without permission, according to a press release issued by ECPA.

Debtwire.com has alleged that financially troubled Borders Bookstores has been paying large publishers on time but delaying payments to smaller independent publishers.

Most Christian self-publishers are selling their books on Amazon.com. They use the Amazon.com Advantage program which lets them sell on consignment for an annual membership fee. Amazon.com pays you every 30 days for books sold.
There is one major disadvantage in the Advantage program, and that is the people who buy your book are Amazon customers, and not your customers. One of the best ways to build up a self-publishing business is to have the contact data, particularly the e-mail addresses of people who buy your book, so that you can up sell them or offer new products in the future.
