The ministry division, which sells Nelson’s products directly to consumers and churches, increased sales 35% over last year. All of Nelson’s retail sales channels also experienced double-digit growth. The mass-market channel, which includes Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club and Costco, grew 30%, the general book retail channel increased by 16%, and the Christian retail channel saw a 15% growth over last year, Nelson officials said.
Additionally, Nelson has had 10 books on the New York Times best-seller lists so far this fiscal year, including Denise Jackson’s It’s All About Him, John and Stasi Eldredge’s Captivating and Max Lucado’s 3:16.
